In Memoriam

Much of this Memorial Day Weekend meeting was thematic.  Toastmaster Susann Swan led the meeting on the theme of "in memoriam".  Word master Don Groff selected "legacy," and Judy gave her speech on memoirs. The remainder of the eyes and ears team included Melinda as grammarian, Randy as ah counter, and Karla as timer.  Sally Jones was joke master dealing with a chicken coop.  Judy's speech title was "Help Them Remember You."  She said her sister and mother had collaborated on a book of memoirs; Judy's mother passed away at the age of 95 two weeks ago.  Judy went on to contrast a blog with a memoir.  She said most memoirs in the library are in the biography section.  She opened and closed with the idea that we all have a story to tell.  She was evaluated by Don Emon.
